KKB is pleased to announce the latest addition to our team, Stephanie Vargas, who joins the Firm as a Tax Senior. Stephanie specializes in working with a large and diverse group of clients, including high-net-worth individuals. A seasoned tax professional, her background comprises a broad range of experience in tax accounting, including tax return preparation and review, tax research, and strategic tax planning. Stephanie is experienced in preparing estate tax returns, trust tax returns, reviewing fiduciary accounting, and participating in client meetings with estate attorneys. In her previous role with a top 25 public accounting firm, Stephanie helped mentor and train new staff members.
A California Registered Tax Preparer (CRTP) and a member of the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP), Stephanie brings high professionalism and a broad skillset to KKB. She is committed to ‘giving back’ and has significantly contributed to the community. Stephanie participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides tax preparation assistance to low-income individuals.
With excellent communication skills, a passion for mentoring and training, and a love of teaching, Stephanie earned a master’s degree in education. A seasoned professional and compassionate team player, Stephanie’s vast experience and commitment to excellent client service will complement KKB’s culture and strengthen the team’s capabilities.
Born and raised in Northern California, Stephanie resides in San Diego with her husband, three daughters, and their dog. She values quality time with her family and enjoys soccer, hiking, and reading non-fiction books.
