Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience preparing tax returns at a public accounting firm
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to identify tax return problems to discuss with managers and partners
  • Strong communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Experience working directly with clients
  • Preparation of federal and CA state business entity and passthrough income tax returns, individual income tax returns and nonprofit information reporting forms
  • Light supervision of professional staff
  • Work directly with partners and clients
  • Ability to review client accounting and identify adjustments to books
  • Perform tax research as needed
  • Familiarity with Adobe and QuickBooks
  • Strong workpaper documentation
  • Maintain organized and prioritized work plan
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment during busy times in order to meet deadlines
  • Experience with Prosystem Tax, Caseware or Engagement
  • Working knowledge of tax research and planning software
